Our belief here at Life Portraits is that our stories are central to all of our lives. How we remember things, how we reflect on events, and how we then choose to present them is unique to each of us; therefore, it is of utmost importance that we as listeners write and compile a life story take into account the voice of the storyteller. The editorial team works tirelessly to ensure human storytelling with a craft-like precision – one of the many reasons why we do not use AI (artificial intelligence) that has received a lot of attention recently. We can clearly see how AI can revolutionize certain parts of society in structure and efficiency – however, when it comes to creativity, we do not feel confident that AI is on the same level as the human ability to portray subtle details and nuances.

From the words we choose to use, to the subtle differences in our ways of expressing ourselves – all of the things that together make each person’s voice unique – require a sensitivity that we constantly strive for. When we work on documenting a story, we therefore guide the client through the entire project – from start to finished product – and ensure that we have captured everything in a living text.

It is an honor and a privilege to be trusted to document the most precious thing a person can have; the story of one’s own life.
